- Boston has clinched the AL Wild Card
- Minnesota beat Chicago in game 1 of a 3 game series. They're now 1-1/2 games behind Chicago- Tampa Bay wins both games of a double-header against Baltimore, magic number is now 2 to win the AL East
- The Mets won and Philadelphia lost, putting New York 1-1/2 games out in the East and still 1 game ahead of Milwaukee in the Wild Card
